Textile Design - Modern

Creative Brief: Design a textile for home furnishings that is inspired by mid-century modern art. I used Paul Klee and Jackson Pollock's art as inspiration for my design that I printed in 3 colorways. I was inspired by the random shapes of Paul Klee and the chaos of Jackson Pollock. The finished product was a fabric called "Return to Retro" and was printed in three colorways, "Funky Fern", "Partygirl Pink" and "Rebel Raspberry"

This project was for a textile design class. The brief was to create a retro inspired pattern based on mid-century paintings, as a digital pattern in 3 colorways. A digital Mimaki printer was used to print the physical swatches. I was inspired by Jackson Pollock, Paul Klee, and Jose Costigliolo. This pattern was created for a home furnishing pattern that would be fun on a bedset or drapery.
